For all of our community who were at one point incarcerated, we are starting a workshop series in Teatro and Creative Writing for adults June 11. From Trauma to Transformation is a project inspired by the work of Luis J. Rodriguez to reduce and end mass incarceration. This project is about bearing witness to those impacted by the system to change the perception of mass incarceration. We will be using the arts as a tool for the participants to find their voice, and share on their terms how they were impacted. This workshop is open to adults who were formerly incarcerated.
